Itinerary
The trip starts with a pick-up in a private vehicle with your personal driver for the day.
The first stop would be Srirangapatna. You can take a stop for breakfast (at your own cost) on the way.
At Srirangapatna, visit the Ranganthaswamy temple dedicated to the Hindu god Ranganatha, an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ranganatha known for its architectural grandeur and spiritual significance. Adjacent to it lies the Tomb of Tipu Sultan, a splendid mausoleum showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and historical reverence.
Next, you will visit the Tomb of Tipu Sultan, also situated in Srirangapatnam.
The Tomb of Tipu Sultan in Srirangapatna is a majestic mausoleum dedicated to the renowned 18th-century ruler of Mysore. Its architectural finesse is evident in the intricately carved windows, domes, and ornate doorways adorned with ivory, showcasing the artistic prowess of its craftsmen. Surrounded by historical significance, the tomb stands as a testament to Tipu Sultan's legacy and the rich heritage of the region.
After Srirangapatna, we move towards Mysore, where St. Philomena's Church is our first stop. Immerse yourself in the serene ambiance of St. Philomena's Church, an awe-inspiring Neo-Gothic structure reminiscent of the Cologne Cathedral. Built in the 1930s, it stands as a testament to architectural brilliance and religious devotion.
Next, we visit the majestic Palace of Mysore. Built by the royal family of Mysore, this huge palace is one of the most beautiful palaces in India. Explore the opulent Mysore Palace, a symbol of grandeur and royalty. Constructed by the erstwhile rulers of Mysore, its intricate architecture and lavish interiors reflect the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka.
We drive to the Chamundi Hills and get a bird's-eye view of the lovely city. Ascend the picturesque Chamundi Hills to behold a panoramic view of the Mysore cityscape. Atop the hill stands the revered Chamundeshwari Temple, offering solace to devotees amidst natural splendor and spiritual serenity.
Prasanna Krishnaswamy Temple: Located within the Mysore Palace complex, this temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It boasts intricate architecture and is adorned with beautiful carvings.
Trinesvaraswamy Temple: Situated within the Mysore Palace premises, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It features a Dravidian architectural style and houses stunning sculptures.
Lakshmiramana Swamy Temple: Located in the heart of Mysore city, this ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the form of Lakshmiramana Swamy. It's known for its serene atmosphere and architectural elegance.
Kodi Bhairava Temple: Situated near the Mysore Palace, this temple is dedicated to Lord Bhairava, a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. It's revered by devotees for its spiritual significance.
Conclude your journey amidst the enchanting beauty of Brindavan Gardens, renowned for its vibrant floral displays, cascading fountains, and tranquil ambience. A perfect retreat to unwind and revel in nature's charm before heading back to Bangalore.
Drive back to Bangalore; your private driver will drop you back at the hotel or your home at the end of the Mysore tour.
